HR specialist lunches

We are hosting lunches for small groups of HR professionals. Our aim is to give HR specialists the opportunity to get together to share ideas and concerns regarding the implications of pending changes in employment legislation. The first of these took place in May 2011 in Taunton and Henley-on-Thames and focused on the issues arising from the abolition of the default retirement age.

If you would like to be informed of future HR lunches in your area contact Stephanie Paterson on .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address) or your regular contact in the firm.

Retirement Planning

One particular hot issue for HR specialists is the abolition in October 2011 of the default retirement age of 65. We recently conducted a survey of clients on this subject and the results show that there is genuine uncertainty amongst business as to how to proceed with retirement issues going forward.

As a result we have compiled a retirement checklist to help you plan your retirement strategy for the future. A copy of this can be downloaded from our ‘employment law news’ page.

Business Immigration Specialist in The Law Society

Our business immigration specialist, Natasha Gya Williams, was recently appointed to The Law Society’s Immigration Law Committee.
